Have you forgotten your WordPress username or password? There are ways to find your WordPress login details if you forget.
It can be really common to save your website’s login details (within your browser or through a password extension such as LastPass) and so you may not remember what these actually are!
You have the option to add a new user to your site using this tutorial, or you may just like to provide this person with your own login details.
It’s all about trust, so if you’re cool with it, go ahead!
Option 1: Find Your WordPress Website’s Login Details (While Logged In)
There could be times when you would like to grant others access to your site.
Maybe you have a new contributing blogger, asking a friend for help or just allowing your web designer access to your site for a tweak or to troubleshoot.
1. Now, if you happen to be logged in to your website currently, you can check your credentials by navigating to “Users” > “Add New”
2. Here you can see your username and registered email.
If you’re not sure what your password is, you can always update your password here by clicking “Generate Password” and type the preferred password.
Option 2: Find Your WordPress Website’s Login Details (While Logged Out)
If you are unable to log in, go to your website URL and add /wp-admin to the end. For example: https://yourblog.com/wp-admin/
And then click ‘Lost your password’ to reset it. Then follow the steps above in step 1.
